You may have heard the term leaky gut thrown around lately. Although the term has been around for a while in the ‘alternative’ fields of medicine, it’s becoming accepted by more and more doctors. It’s clear that leaky gut can lead to more serious issues if left unattended.

In very simple terms, a leaky gut means that the tight junctions in your gut lining aren't as tight as they used to be, and therefore are letting unusual substances enter your body.
