I can't believe this MD put his name on this fabrication! If i had more time i would refute everyone one of his negative points with sources... Please everyone do your own research!

Some of his points aren't even negative... "In some cases, milk is ultra-pasteurized to get rid of heat-resistant bacteria and give it a longer shelf life.
Ultra high temperature pasteurization is a process that takes milk from
a chilled temperature to above the boiling point in less than two
seconds. This process is utilized for the boxed milks that can be kept
at room temperature" This is just a description for the UHT process of pasteurization which might i add is the predominant form in Europe.

So here are some fun facts for everyone to consider. Cattle are given antibiotics to help treat diseases. If I got worms or an infection, I would really like to be treated for it. I believe that in order to be humane to the animals whose byproducts I consume, they should be treated as well. All milk is tested to make sure that there is no antibiotic or steroid residue in the milk. Most drugs given to cattle have at least a 21 day holding period where that milk cannot find it way into the consumers hands. Meaning there is no "steroids, antibiotics, pesticides from treated grains, bacteria from infected animals, and genetically engineered growth hormones." Giving the cattle vaccines actually helps insure that there are no bacteria from infected animals.
I am also quite curious where the author got the idea that calves drink processed milk. Milk is not processed until it leaves the dairy. Do you really think a dairyman would purchase processed milk to feed his calves rather than feed them the free product produced on his own farm?? That ni no way shape or form is a sounds business practice.
You are correct when you say pasteurization was started because people were dying from TB. Here's the fun fact about it though. If any single molecule of raw milk gets above 45 F more than 15 minutes after milking spore are formed and pathogens grow. Rarely are these pathogens good. They include not only tb but also anthrax and brucillious. There are people who have gotten paralyzed or died from drinking raw milk. Can you truly insure that no single molecule will get above 40 F?? It's a quite large risk to take. Pasteurization greatly reduces this risk.
UTH milk is a great substitute for soda or fruit drinks in lunch boxes because it doesn’t need to be refrigerated and still has many of the nutritional benefits.
Homogenization occurs because otherwise milk separates and looks extremely unpleasant. You can purchase unhomoginized milk as the homogenization is an optional part of milk's standard of identity.
I am very confused about how you came to the conclusion that milk is chemically altered. All the processing of milk includes it heating. If you look at the ingredient list it says milk, vitamin A, Vitamin D. How many ingredients do you think are in a comparable soy product??The author of this artificial needs to do some serious research before making such outrageous claims.

It's sad that the majority of people have no idea that the milk they buy on most grocery shelves is not healthy for them. The "got milk?" campaign started by the California Milk Processor Board (CMPB) in 1993 and featuring celebrities galore is a prime example of the power of advertising. On the flip side, you have small dairy farmers being raided for selling raw milk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v....

Great article, Dr. Lipman!
