Vusi Mahlasela: “Thula Mama” At TED

One of my favorite singer songwriters from South Africa is Vusi Mahlasela . This is from a performance Vusi did at a TED conference. Vusi dedicates his song, “Thula Mama,” to all women — and especially his grandmother and tells this great story about his grandmother when the police raided her house looking for him during the apartheid years.

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, politics and the arts. http://www.ted.com
