This is possibly the worst video I have ever seen. Which is too bad because the content is great. My advice: if you haven’t seen it, treat it as an audio; don’t even try to watch because it will give you a headache and distract from what he’s saying, which is incredibly valuable. And Brian, if you are reading this, make a “note to self” right now: handheld cam on pages of scribble = technique to avoid at all costs!

best content i’ve heard in a long time – really fantastic. agree with other poster that it’s best treated as an audio track so as not to be distracted by jumping camera. As an audio, this might be the best little primer on meditation i’ve heard in ten years of studying. i’ll be sharing it with clients and friends.

I enjoyed your video on meditation. My questions are: How often should I meditate and for how long; and what should I think about during meditation? Should my mind be totally empty or should I think about that beautiful sunset in Hawaii?

I’ve been meditating for a year (it was last year’s New Year’s resolution) and can attribute the many positive changes in my life as a result. At first 5 minutes seemed like a chore and now I look forward to 20 minutes every morning. Thanks for the this lesson – it was like an annual booster shot to keep me going!

Wow, that was an awesome, comprehensive overview of mediation. Thanks. Actually, I liked the visuals–I tend to map things out on paper in much the same way, and liked the analogies with drawings (like the cascading thoughts concept and increasing time between thoughts). My only question would be what is recommended for length of meditaton. The 100% versus 99% committment is a great tip with multiple applications. I have committed and have been sitting everyday if even for a very short time. Thanks again–excellent content.

Brian this is awesome!! One of the things I want to start doing is meditate but was stuck on the “how” part. You explained it all in here for me in a way that I think I can most definitely…Just Do It :) Some may not have liked the camera jumping, I personally found it really helped as I’m a visual person and it’s a great tool for those beginners to meditation. Cheers :)
