Food Inc is basically a continuation and movie version of Eric Schlosser’s Fast Food Nation and Michael Pollan’s The Omnivore’s Dilemma and In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto. It reveals surprising and often shocking truths about what we eat, how it’s produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here.

As the trailer says, “The industry doesn’t want you to know the truth about what you are eating, because if you did, you might not want to eat it.” Food, Inc. vividly and accurately details how agriculture policy, government agencies and corporations work in confluence to perpetuate our food system in its current form. And all the ills from public health crises to environmental damage that go with it.
